Since its first instalment in 1964, the celebrated Up documentary series has traced the fortunes of a group of British children from a variety of backgrounds, returning at seven-year intervals to take snapshots of their lives. Directed by Michael Apted, the series now reaches another landmark with the three-part 63 Up.
